Dr. Liza Rodriguez graduated from Rutgers University in 1993 with the highest honors , she went on to Ross University School of Medicine where she completed her Doctorate of Medicine with high honors in 1999. She entered  residency at St Barnabas Medical Center  the same year and completed her internship in Surgery in  2000. She completed her residency in Anesthesiology in 2003. Dr. Rodriguez is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and has had a long and fruitful career in Anesthesiology.  Dr. Rodriguez has currently refocused her expertise to Addiction Medicine due to a need to connect with patients. For the past 5 years she has been helping patients at critical points in their lives.   Dr. Rodriguez is Board Certified in the new specialty of Addiction Medicine and keeps up to date on all new developments in the field of Addiction Medicine.  Above all, she advocates for the practice of harm reduction.  If there is one message that she could convey to her patients it is to understand that change is a process, not an event, and that the darkest
